Opportunities in farmland & theory applied to farmland investing.

Farmland Investment Case Study assignment overview, reviewed of reading material, Case Study Teams assigned.

1:00 Team Lunch. Two Elks, Vail Mountain

Teams discuss Farmland Investment Case, which includes land purchase opportunities, ROI analysis, applied theory.

The Teams may decide to reconvene at another time and place in the afternoon (such as warm up break at Mid-Vail) to continue the discussion, or use “lift time” to advance the discussion.

5:00 Après Ski Group Meeting

Group discussion and collaboration on Cases.  Q & A on applied theory

7:00 p.m.  Capitaline Hosted Dinner: Team Reports on assigned Cases.  Group Discussion

Day Two – February 8th:

8:00 – 9:00  Educational Session Two – Investing in Agribusiness

Opportunities & Theory: Investing non-publically traded agribusiness companies

Agribusiness Investment Case Study overview and Case Study Teams assigned.

1:00 p.m. Belle’s Camp, Blue Sky Basin – Informal Lunch Hosted by Capitaline

Team discussions of Agribusiness Investment Case: opportunities, returns, pitfalls, liquidity. Teams formulate strategy.

Ongoing informal discussions on the Case are encouraged throughout the afternoon.

5:00 Après Ski Group Meeting

Group Reports. Discussion. Seminar Material Review.

6:30 Seminar Ends

7:30 p.m. Optional non-hosted Dinner: Swiss Chalet, Vail  (all welcome, reserved seat in advance)

Logistics & Costs:

Costs: This is a small group event, by invitation only. There are no seminar fees. Study materials are provided electronically two weeks prior to the meeting. The meals hosted by Capitaline include: Breakfast Wednesday & Thursday, Dinner Wednesday evening, Lunch on Thursday.  All other food, beverage and entertainment costs (including ski passes and equipment rental) are the responsibility of the seminar participants.

Recommended:

Attire: The two days are a mix of study, discussion and skiing. Ski Attire is recommended for all sessions, except the Hosted Dinner on Wednesday evening, for which Mountain Casual is recommended.

Lodging:  Vail Marriott Mountain Resort, or near by properties in the newly rebuilt Lyons Head section of Vail.
