Sustainability has been a pillar of Capitaline's investment approach since the firm's inception. With each of our funds we focus on working with renewable, sustainable investments that create long-term value in rural communities.

 

Capitaline's track record speaks to our ongoing support of the renewable energy industry with a variety of investments ranging from agri-financial services to biofuels to wind energy. Renewable energy is a critical legacy to leave for future generations, and we are proud to be involved.

 

Our approach to farmland is no exception. One of Capitaline's privately managed portfolios has been investing in farmland for almost 20 years under the mantra "Farm the best and protect the rest." We live it every day by working with the farmers who lease from us to prudently care for the land. In doing so, we improve its long-term productivity and value. We strongly encourage our tenants to utilize conservation practices including low drift application of herbicides, crop rotations and planting grass buffer strips along waterways and other sensitive areas which protects both the land and water resources. A side benefit of our conservation practices is greatly improved wildlife habitat for local and migratory species. Through our actions, Capitaline reaffirms our multi-generational commitment to preserving and improving the land.
