New Team Member!

Capitaline Advisors is happy to announce the hiring of a new team member!

 

Doug Achtemeier has accepted the position of Vice President of Capital Markets.  Capitaline is excited to leverage Doug’s knowledge and experience to enhance Capitaline’s Core Team.

Doug will be responsible for raising capital from individuals and institutions to invest in Capitaline funds.  He graduated from Washington University in St. Louis with a BA in Economics and from Drake University, Des Moines, IA, where he received a MBA in Finance.  He also holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation.  After graduation from Drake University Doug spent 12 years at Principal Financial Group as an asset manager for joint venture real estate investments and as an advisor to investment companies in Central and South America.  He worked several years for registered investment advisors as a portfolio manager for individual and institutional clients.  Most recently Doug was a portfolio manager for institutional clients at Northern Trust.

Doug lives in Altadena, CA.  He owns a home and farmland in central Iowa where he grew up on a family farm.  He still enjoys hunting and fishing on the land.  He has been active in alumni fund raising for Washington University.  Doug is a past president of the CFA Society of Los Angeles and is the current secretary and a member of the executive committee.  He has one daughter living in San Francisco.
